Below is a general list of what I can offer.
Graphic Design
The term graphic design can refer to a number of artistic and professional disciplines which focus on visual communication and presentation. Various methods are used to create and combine symbols, images and/or words to create a visual representation of ideas and messages. This can include typography, visual arts and page layout techniques to produce the final result.
The design process is guided by the client. I start by talking to you and listening to your ideas and concepts; I then take your ideas and work with you to create a solution to your brief.
These final results can be used on a number visual mediums including printed matter and web.
My graphic designs are made to measure and will scale without distortion across web and print. I’m always happy to supply you with the original Photoshop or Illustrator files.
Web Design
Your web site is an online representation of your company to millions of Internet users. Its how your customers and prospects will judge you, your products and your services. It is essentially your window to the world. You cannot afford to have a poor web design.
I can work closely with you to create a website that is professional, easy to use, and integrated with your logo identity and corporate color profile. All my websites are standard compliant coded with valid CSS and XHTML for fast loading, ease of use. The code is tested across all modern browsers for compatibility.
I create websites from scratch or from templates using the best design techniques.
As each site can vary in terms of size and what is needed, it’s best to let me know exactly what you want before I can offer a quote.
Content Management Systems
Every seems to want Content Management Systems these days. This can allow someone without knowledge of HTML the ability to update and amend the content of their website.
Our weapon of choice for this is the WordPress platform.
T Shirt Printing
What better way to advertise than have a walking billboard with your own designs
I have in-house facilities to print t shirts, I can also arrange large quantities for the more adventurous customer. In fact it doesn’t just stop there – I have contacts to print on virtually anything including pens, keyrings, wristbands and magnets.
HTML Email Newsletters
Once your website is setup, one of the many ways you can market your website is via email. Therefore I offer an HTML email newsletter service which includes the design and development of HTML code to be sent out via email.
I have many years experience in this specialised field, creating newsletters for high profile clients including Mercedes Benz. All HTML email newsletters are tested thoroughly in a variety of popular email clients including Outlook, Hotmail, Gmail and Yahoo.
Source Print
If you’re looking for quality print at a nice price, I can help you source the right print house to fit your job requirements. I have 5 years experience of working in print companies setting up jobs for clients, so I know the ins and outs. I also know the pitfalls that can occur when getting something printed, and the steps that can be taken to ensure that your job comes out as it should.
Logo and Branding
One of the most important first steps in developing an identity for your company is crafting a logo. My logo design process is simple and highly creative. It usally starts with a brainstorming session with you and carefully listening to everything you have to say.
Creating a brand is really about creating a message that you will share with your customers. I’ll work with you to define your message and from there we’ll create your identity, website, logo, and print.
I generally use vector graphics for all of my logo designs. These can be scaled to any size without losing quality.
I pride myself on being accessible to clients, as a freelance designer I like to foster long-lasting partnerships. Together we can develop a strong and impressive brand.
Illustration
If you have a project that requires illustration then give me a shout, if my personal style doesn’t fit the brief, then I can tap into a network of creative talent to find the right person for the job.
Flyers and Brochures
Flyers and posters have long been one of the best ways to promote yourself, your project or your business. This has always been a theory that I have subscribed to, from the days when I put on club nights right up to the here and now. If people don’t know you exist then they’re not gonna find you.
If you’re looking for advice on the best way to market yourself, drop me a line.
Business Stationery
Nothing makes a business look more credible than professionally designed stationery.
An investment in professionally designed stationery will pay off every time you hand out your business card and every time you send a letter. Nearly everyone who has been handed a cheap business card or received business correspondence on a generic letterhead is left wondering if the business is reliable or if they’re fly-by-night.
By contrast, professionally designed stationery helps to form a lasting impression in the minds of your employees, business partners and customers. They’ll not only remember you, but they’ll know that you’re a serious business and that they can trust you.
Printed stationery includes letterheads, compliment slips, invoices and business cards .
Photography
Have camera will travel!
I’m a keen photographer and have worked for various magazines and publications doing all manner of stuff, from rock n roll to stuff of a more corporate nature.
Personal Tuition
I’m fluent in Adobe Creative Suite [Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign] so if you need some personal tuition in any of these software packages drop me a line [beginner to more advanced].
Another aspect of tuition that I can deliver is in learning HTML and CSS for web design. Again, this would usually be on a one to one basis, tailored to suit the needs of the individual.
My price structure for personal tuition is £20 for the first hour and then £15 for each hour after that. I can also consider discounts for block bookings.
