Web Design and Build for Magik City
Here’s another recently completed website design and build for Magik City – an online e-commerce shop which deals mainly in products of a counter culture nature.
This project included an HTML and CSS build which was then converted into a CMS (Content Management System) using the WordPress platform with the Shopp plugin (which was used for the e-commerce side of things). There is also a blog attached to the site – this was seen as an important tool to bring visitors to the site whilst also keeping the content fresh and up to date.
One of the main things with this site was to make it Social Media friendly, so it includes Facebook, Twitter and Flickr elements along with a Newsletter sign up.
The back end of WordPress makes it really easy to add new blog posts, whilst the Shopp plugin integrates really well with the platform making adding new products simple to implement.
